結成50周年を迎えたJUDAS PRIESTがCD42枚組の巨大なボックスセットを10月にリリース！

ヘヴィ・メタルの権化JUDAS PRIESTが42枚のCDから成る巨大な限定ボックスセット「REFLECTIONS:50 HEAVY METAL YEARS OF MUSIC」を10月15日に『Sony Music』よりリリースする。

42枚のCDのうち13枚は未発表音源を収録したもので、バンドの膨大なアーカイヴから発掘されたそれらの貴重な音源はトム・アロムによってリストア（修復）されており、また、既発表音源を含めてすべての音源は『Abbey Road Studios』でアレックス・ワートンによってリマスターされている。

このボックスセットについて、ロブ・ハルフォード<vo>は「JUDAS PRIESTの50年にわたるヘヴィ・メタルの歴史をまとめたこのボックスセットは、メタルの信念を守り続けるというバンドの揺るぎなき取り組みを明らかにする究極の発掘品だ」とコメントしている。

一方、グレン・ティプトンはこう語る。
「君のヘヴィ・メタル・コレクションに加えるべきボックスセットがあるとしたら、それはこのセットであるはずだ。これは不朽だよ。50年以上にわたってメタルを宣言し、真にその代表となり、旗を掲げ、誇りを持って道の先頭を進み、長年多くのバンドにインスピレーションを与えてきた我々の、この42枚のCDがすべてを物語っている。これはメタルの歴史の大きな部分であり、そのまま永遠に生き続けるだろう」

そして、イアン・ヒルが「驚きだよ！ 50年分のメタルが1つの小さなボックスに詰め込まれているんだ！」と付け加える。
