コージー・パウエル、ジャック・ブルース、クレム・クレムソン、ドン・エイリーらによる ”The Loner” の1980年のスタジオ・ライヴ映像が公開！

コージー・パウエル<ds>、ジャック・ブルース<b>、クレム・クレムソン<g>、ドン・エイリー<key>、マックス・ミドルトン<key>によるバンドが、英国の音楽番組『THE OLD GREY WHISTLE TEST』に出演して”The Loner”を演奏したスタジオ・ライヴ映像が、ジャック・ブルースのYouTubeチャンネルにアップされた。

これは1980年1月8日に英国BBCで放映されたもので、彼らはこの曲が収録されたコージーの1stソロ・アルバム「OVER THE TOP」（1979年）のプロモーションでこの番組に出演していた。

”The Loner”は、ゲイリー・ムーア<g>がカヴァーしたヴァージョンでも知られる名曲。

コージー・パウエルは1998年に、ジャック・ブルースは2014年に他界している。

この日のスタジオ・ライヴからは、先頃”Killer”の映像も公開されていた。

先月末には、ジャック・ブルースの4CD+2Blu-rayボックスセット「SMILES & GRINS : BROADCAST SESSIONS 1970-2001」がリリースされている。このボックスには、1970年の『BEAT CLUB』の未放送映像を含む貴重な映像／音源が多数収録されている。
