「南カリフォルニアで父（リッキー・ネルソン）のSTONE CANYON BANDと一緒に育った僕達は、リンダ・ロンシュタット、CS&N、POCO、ジャクソン・ブラウン、EAGLESなんかとは家族ぐるみの友達だったけど、今回のアルバムでは、そういったヒーロー達が持っていたオーガニックな音楽への敬意と同じものを注入したかったんだ。本物の楽器、本物の歌声…時代を超えた伝統的なものでありつつ、情熱と高揚感を備えたもの。このアルバムには本当に誇りを感じているよ」
